The Good Will comedian and Rated Korina director looked every inch like the Marvel superhero, complete with his winged half mask, star-emblazoned shield, mask, and red, white, and blue bodysuit adorned with the Avengers insignia.
The Chinito actor, who is running for Manila councilor in 2025, confesses that he had always admired Captain America as a kid.
He says, “As a comic book fan, I’ve been fascinated by Captain America’s backstory. You know, like Steve Rogers’ transformation from geek to vigilante super soldier. And as a kid, who wouldn’t be inspired by his unwavering patriotism and his quest for truth and justice, right?”
Together with two other good friends dressed up as Deadpool and Spider-Man, David walked through the streets of his hometown in Tondo to give away goodies and festive treats to kids, who also eagerly transformed into colorful cartoon and movie characters.
“In my own little way, I just want to share my blessings with kids on occasions like these,” David says. “And the smiles on their faces make it worth all the effort."
