Brave 14-year-old saves siblings from house fire in Batasan Hills, QC


A courageous 14-year-old boy successfully saved his two younger siblings from a house fire on IBP Road in Batasan Hills, Quezon City, on Sunday, November 3.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) reported that the fire ignited at 10:02 a.m. and was fully extinguished by 10:43 a.m. on the same day.

According to the BFP, the children's aunt, Rizalyn Talamisan-Remot, who was on the first floor with her mother and an infant, heard the children screaming and panicking as the fire broke out.

At the time of the incident, the boy's parents were not present at home, and he suffered third-degree burns while rescuing his siblings.

Talamisan-Remot also incurred minor injuries to her foot.

BFP Safety Officer SFO4 Sergio Montejo indicated that the boy and his siblings were taken to the nearest hospital for medical treatment and recovery.
