Shabu, gun seized from 2 men on All Souls’ Day in Taguig


Police arrested two men on Nov. 2, All Souls’ Day, after they were found in possession of suspected shabu and a gun in Taguig. 

Police officers from the Taguig Police Substation 4 were patrolling in Barangay Sta. Ana at about 4:40 a.m. when they saw alias Sonny Boy, 28, tagged as a high value individual, and Boy, 43, engaging in illegal drug activities. 

The police confiscated one plastic sachet containing about 45 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of P306,000., and two plastic sachets containing 10 grams of suspected shabu valued at P68,000..

In addition, the police recovered a .4-caliber pistol with the markings PT 24/7 Pro Forjas Taurus S.A. loaded with one live ammunition, two magazines for the caliber pistol, and 11 pieces of .4-caliber live ammunition. 

The seized evidence will be submitted to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for laboratory analysis. 

The suspects will face complaints for violation of  Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition).
