A 52-year-old man who pointed a gun at a truck driver during their argument was arrested by the Las Piñas City Police on Friday, November 1.
PCol. Sandro Tafalla, Las Piñas City Police chief, identified the suspect as "Namir/Nasyong."
Tafalla said the victim approached patrolling officers from the Pamplona Police Substation after the suspect threatened him with a gun during their argument.
Namir tried to escape from the arresting officers but was eventually caught.
The suspect yielded a 9mm revolver with three live ammunition.
Further investigation by the police revealed that the suspect has other criminal records for violation of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act) and PD 1602 (Illegal Gambling).
Namir is currently detained at the Las Piñas Police detention facility and was charged for violation of RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
