TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Suspected marijuana valued at P11.8 million was discovered in Barangay Maluksad, Pasil, Kalinga on Saturday, Nov. 2.

Police Capt. Ruff Manganip, spokesperson of the Kalinga police, said that a concerned citizen reported the presence of three suspicious sacks in a box culvert to the police.
Police opened them and found 99 bricks of dried marijuana leaves and stalks.
These were taken to the Kalinga police forensic unit for further examination and documentation.
Manganip said they are conducting follow-up investigation to identify their transporter.
At present, the standard price of a marijuana brick weighing a kilogram is P120,000.
