In response, President Marcos thanked the UAE for its acceptance and hospitality toward Filipinos, noting the warm reception fostered a deep personal bond between the Philippines and UAE.

In an X post, Sheikh Mohammed said Filipinos, whom he described as friendly and law-abiding, are welcome to the UAE.

"We have over 660,000 Filipinos working in the UAE and more than 500,000 tourists annually from the Philippines," he wrote.

"They are among the distinguished communities, friendly, and committed to the country's laws. They are always welcomed, and we cherish our relations with the Philippines," he added.

Meanwhile, the two leaders likewise emphasized their dedication to strengthening bilateral ties and delivering lasting benefits to their people.

During their discussion on regional stability, President Marcos assured Sheik Mohammed of the Philippines’ commitment to resolving maritime issues through the rule of law and adherence to international agreements, such as the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).

Marcos also highlighted the government’s unwavering efforts to maintain peace and economic stability, which Sheikh Mohammed praised as a foundation for strengthening trade and investment ties between the two nations.

President Marcos emphasized his administration’s agenda, including streamlining regulations and enhancing ease of doing business.

He shared how Dubai’s success in diversifying its economy beyond oil served as inspiration, particularly its focus on services and tourism as key growth drivers.

Before concluding the meeting, President Marcos underscored the mutual respect and cooperation that have long defined the Philippines – UAE partnership, particularly in the UAE’s fair treatment of Filipino nationals.

The President reaffirmed the Philippines’ commitment to nurturing its relationship with the UAE and exploring new avenues for collaboration, including trade, tourism, and cultural exchange.

Sheikh Mohammed hoped President Marcos’ visit would mark the beginning of a new chapter in the two countries’ bilateral relations.

He reiterated the UAE’s eagerness to work closely with the Philippines to achieve shared economic development, innovation, and sustainability goals.
