Las Piñas LGU showcases city achievements for 2024


The Las Piñas City government showcased the awards and milestones it has achieved in 2024 during its weekly ceremony held on Monday, Nov. 25.

Vice Mayor April Aguilar expressed her gratitude to each and every department head for their hard work and contribution to the city's advancement.

She also thanked the city government employees and officials for their determination and dedication in ensuring the quality of public service the LGU is providing its citizens. 

According to her, the city was awarded the Top 1 spot in the 2024 Fisheries Compliance Audit for its effective management of municipal waters and commitment to sustainable fishing practices and as a highly compliant LGU in the Manila Bay Clean-Up, Rehabilitation, and Preservation Program, showcasing its dedication to environmental sustainability and compliance with national standards.

The Vice Mayor added that other notable achievements included the city’s Highly Functional Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC), which reflects strong anti-drug initiatives, and its high-performing Peace and Order Council (POC), acknowledged for ensuring public safety and security.

She also mentioned that the city government received the Ideal Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) award for its exemplary child welfare programs, and the city's Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Their Children (LCAT-VAWC) was also recognized for its strong efforts in combating human trafficking and protecting vulnerable groups.
