ILOILO CITY – The Department of Social Welfare and Development has urged other government agencies and organizations to renew their dedication to ending violence against women (VAW).
We believe that every woman deserves to live a life free from violence and fear. We understand that the road ahead is long, but with renewed dedication, continued collaboration, and the unwavering support of each one of us, said DSWD-6 Regional Director Arwin Razo.

The DSWD-6 joined the regional kickoff of the 18-day VAW campaign on Monday night in Jordan, Guimaras.
DSWD has implemented various programs and services protecting women and children but these need to be sustained.
“Despite the progress we have made, the reality is that violence against women and children continues to be a pervasive issue in our society,” Razo said.
“We reaffirm our commitment to intensifying our efforts in protecting women and children. The time to act is now, and we must all rise to the challenge of creating safer, more inclusive communities where violence is no longer tolerated,” Razo added.
