2 men gunned down in Cebu


CEBU CITY – Two men were shot dead and a habal-habal driver was wounded in Tuburan town, northern Cebu on Sunday night, Nov. 24.

Police identified the fatalities as Arnold Amansing Ebo and Joey Atienza.

Wounded was Jecar Sebas Rosalejos, the 37-year-old driver of the habal-habal (motorcycle-for-hire) that the victims were riding in when they were attacked.

The gunmen were aboard a separate motorcycle, police said.

Police said the victims came from a cockpit and were on their way home where they were shot.

Four empty shells for a .45 caliber pistol were recovered at the crime scene.

Police Lt. Col. Glenn Hife, chief of the Tuburan Police Station, said the incident is still being investigated.
