A total of P13,600,000 worth of shabu was seized on Friday, November 22, by government anti-narcotics authorities during separate buy-bust operations in Las Piñas City and Manila, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) stated.
In Las Piñas City, the PDEA Regional Office National Capital Region together with the Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested Ansano Sarif Ampuan where 1.5 kilograms of shabu worth P10,200,000 was confiscated at around 4:00 p.m. at Manila Doctors Village in Almanza 1.
Aside from the shabu, government anti-narcotics authorities also seized cellular phones, a vehicle and identification cards from Ampuan.
Ampuan faces charges fro violation of Sections 5 (sale, trading, distribution of illegal drugs) and 11 (possession of dangerous drugs), Article II of Republic Act (RA) 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’
In Manila at 2:55 p.m. of the same day, the PDEA Region IV-A Special Enforcement Team 1, PDEA RO-NCR Southern District Office and PNP SDEU Ermita Police Station seized P3.4 million of shabu following the arrest of Baiton Raguiamoda, who was listed in the high-value target (HVT) roster during an entrapment operation at Barangay 669, in Malate.
The PDEA and PNP team recovered the buy-bust money and more or less 500 grams of shabu from Raguiamoda during the operation.
“The suspect (Raguiamoda) will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act No 9165 also known as The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002,’’ the PDEA noted.
