Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte was recognized as the “Most Outstanding City Mayor of the Philippines” during the Gawad Pilipino Lingkod Bayan Awards held on Wednesday, Nov. 20.

The recognition highlighted Belmonte’s transformative leadership and dedication to the residents of Quezon City.
Belmonte expressed her gratitude to QCitizens for their unwavering trust and support and pledged to continue delivering excellent public service and implementing impactful programs.
“It is an honor to receive this recognition, but this is not just my achievement—it is a reflection of the collective efforts of our city government and the trust of our people,” she said.

The city council also received recognition as the Most Outstanding City Council of the Philippines.
The Gawad Pilipino Lingkod Bayan Awards also honored various city officials, including legislators, councilors, barangay captains, and public servants. They are:
- District 1 Representative Arjo Atayde - Most Outstanding Legislator:
- Councilors Dorothy Delarmente, Bernard Herrera, Candy Medina, Geleen Lumbad, Irene Belmonte, Aiko Melendez, Joseph “Joe” Visaya, Banjo Pilar, and Vito Sotto Generoso - Most Outstanding Councilors;
- Barangay Captains Elmer Baral, Josefina Landingin, Wilfredo Cara, Estanislao Macabata Jr., Franze Russele Bilaos, Paolo Concepcion, Marciano Buena-Agua Jr., and Rey Mark John Navarro - Most Outstanding Barangay Captains;
- District 1 Action Officer Ollie Belmonte and City Treasurer Edgar Villanueva - Most Outstanding Public Servants.
The awards recognize the dedication and hard work of the city’s officials and employees in ensuring a progressive and well-governed city.
