Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu took on bolder and sexier phase as she was unveiled as the newest Tanduay Calendar girl for 2025, held at the Lucio Tan Center in Pasay on Nov. 20.

With the theme "Aura" for this year's calendar girl, Kim strutted the runway wearing a white top and skirt with flowing wings on her back, giving off a VS Angel fantasy vibe.

Being a first-time calendar girl, Kim shared that never in her wildest dream she would do something like this.

"At first, I was shocked and I asked myself if I was ready to do this. Kasi a lot of people have known me since my PBB days, so I grew up in front of their eyes. So I think it's about time that na rin for me to do this," Kim said.

"I feel empowered and grateful kasi I feel like this is a powerful moment for me and this is a milestone for me I never thought I'd achieve early in my career," she added.

Previous Tanduay Calendar Girl were Kylie Versoza, Bea Alonzo, Ivana Alawi, Ellen Adarna, Jessy Mendiola, Heart Evangelista, and Julia Barretto.

Kim said that she mentally prepared herself before saying yes to the project.

"More than physical preparation, it’s more on mental preparation kasi hindi naman talaga ako sanay to do this kind of photoshoot. Gusto ko lang magbigay ng something new to my audience, to my fans, and to experience something I never did," Kim said.

Holding back her tears with the overflowing support from her fans, Kim also gave a reminder to her fellow women saying: "This is a reminder there's no dream too big or milestone too far. Success isn't where you've been but where you're willing to go. Just keep going and reach your dreams kasi 'di mo lang alam, life gives you lots of surprises."

The actress also thanked her past character Juliana from the series "Linlang" for giving her the confidence to do the campaign.

Paulo's reaction

In an interview with ABS-CBN, Kim also shared her conversation with her co-star Paulo Avelino during a shoot for their upcoming film.

"Sabi niya, ‘Ready ka na ba?’ Ang sabi ko, ‘Ready ka na ba?’ Nag-congrats siya at nag-good luck kanina. Sana nakapagpahinga daw ako. Supportive naman siya, in fairness. Hindi ko pa lang alam kung nakita na niya 'yung mga pictures online," Kim said.
