Situation in Manila cemeteries ‘generally peaceful’- MPD


The Manila Police District (MPD) reported that the situation in the city’s four cemeteries was generally peaceful despite the large number of visitors who went to visit their departed loved ones on Friday, November 1.

As of 7 p.m. on Friday, crowd estimates reached 1,335,820 visitors.

Meanwhile, 4,019 prohibited items such as bladed weapons, flammable materials, cigarettes, perfumes, and liquor, were confiscated in the North, South, and Chinese Cemeteries.

The MPD continues to deploy its personnel in these areas to ensure the safety of all visitors.
