ILOILO CITY – The Police Regional Office-6 said that All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day were generally peaceful in Western Visayas.
PRO-6 Director Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky said there was no major incident during "Undas" and cited operating units for maintaining peace and order.

“We recognize the sacrifices and commitment of our unit commanders and all police personnel across the region for truthfully and dedicatedly performing their individual tasks that led to a peaceful 2024 ‘Undas,’” said Wanky.
Wanky said there was a decrease in crime incidents from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2 with only 89 compared to 100 in the same period last year.
He attributed the accomplishment to the 2,500 policemen deployed in Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental provinces as well as the highly urbanized cities of Iloilo and Bacolod.
Police Lt. Col. Arnel Solis, PRO-6 information officer, also attributed this to the force multipliers who worked with the police – other government agencies, local government units, barangay officials, barangay tanods or watchmen, and volunteer groups.
