2 arrested for motorcycle theft in Las Piñas City


Members of the Las Piñas City Police arrested two men who allegedly stole a motorcycle on Nov. 19.

Las Piñas City Police chief Col. Sandro Tafalla identified the suspects as alias “Kevin,” 33, a construction worker, of Barangay Pamplona Tres, and alias “JC,” 39, a painter, and a resident of Barangay Pulang Lupa Uno, Las Piñas City.

Tafalla said members of the Pamplona Substation 2 was approached by the victim, identified as alias “Nemensio,” 32, and said that his motorcycle parked at 12:00 noon along Real St., Alabang-Zapote Road was missing.

He said members of the Pamplona Substation 2 immediately conducted a follow-up operation and found the stolen motorcycle, a Honda RS 125 with plate number 2586PL in the possession of the suspects.

The suspects were turned over to the Anti-Carnapping Unit (ANCAR) office after being physically examined at the Las Piñas District Hospital and were charged for violation of Republic Act 10883 or the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016.
