Officer-on-case Police Master Sgt. Salvacion Soberano said the food poisoning incident occurred during the Business Innovators’ Zone Convention of the College of Business and Management.

All of them, expect two, have been releaded from the hospital, said Soberano.

Soberano said the victims were taken to the Dr. Catalino Gallego Nava Provincial Hospital in Jordan town when they exhibited symptoms of food poisoning starting Friday night.

The GSU confirmed and attributed the incident to “food prepared by an outside caterer.”

The university added that they are  working with authorities in thoroughly investigating the incident.

They vowed to take steps to prevent similar incidents. “Our priority remains the welfare and recovery of our students.”
