The local government of Pasig said on Sunday, November 17, that 29 evacuation centers have already been set up, while relief goods such as food packs and sleeping kits have been pre-positioned in some barangays in preparation for the possible onslaught of Super Typhoon Pepito.
Currently, 29 evacuation centers across 21 barangays have been pre-set up:
- Bagong Ilog: B. Tatco Covered Court and Bagong Ilog Elementary School
- Bambang: Bambang Boys Center (formerly Alfonso Gym)
- Caniogan: Kalinangan Covered Court
- Dela Paz: Karangalan Covered Court
- Kalawaan: Ismar covered court
- Kapasigan: Kapasigan Child Development Center
- Kapitolyo: Kapitolyo Multipurpose Hall
- Malinao: Malinao Covered Court
- Manggahan: Manggahan Multipurpose Hall
- Maybunga: Maybunga Elementary School Annex and Stella Maris Covered Court
- Palatiw: Palatiw Barangay Hall
- Pinagbuhatan: Nagpayong Covered Court and Damayan Covered Court
- Rosario: Rosario Elementary School and Eusebio High School
- San Joaquin: San Joaquin Elementary School
- San Jose: San Jose Covered Court (extension)
- Santolan: Santolan Ilaya Covered Court, Santolan Elementary School, Santolan High School, and Our Lady of Perpetual Help School, Inc.
- San Miguel: San Miguel Covered Court
- Sta. Lucia: Sta. Lucia Bliss Multipurpose Hall and De Castro Elementary School
- Sta. Rosa: Sta. Rosa Barangay Hall (third floor)
- Sumilang: Sumilang Barangay Hall
- Ugong: Ugong Barangay Hall Parking Lot
The local government added that billboards and signage have been removed in certain locations around the city to prevent them from being blown away by strong winds.
On Saturday, November 16, the city began deploying personnel to ensure its readiness to respond to the needs caused by the typhoon.
It reminded Pasigueños to stay alert and not be complacent about the current weather situation, as there has been little rain or wind felt so far in the city.
Residents are also encouraged to listen to and comply with advisories from their respective barangays regarding evacuation, when necessary.
