Miss Universe South Africa withdraws from Miss Universe 2024 Competition

Two days before the finals, Miss Universe South Africa Mia Le Roux withdrew from the 2024 Miss Universe Competition due to health issues.

This is the second time a candidate has dropped out of the competition. Previously, Miss Panama was informed to leave the pageant due to non-compliance with leaving the room.

The official statement came following the Miss Universe 2024 Preliminaries held in Mexico City on Thursday night (Friday morning, Manila time). The full statement:

The finals of the 2024 Miss Universe Competition will be broadcast around the world on Saturday night (Sunday morning, Manila time).
