Sexagenarians killed in pickup truck-motorcycle crash

BACOLOD CITY – An elderly couple was killed when their motorcycle collided with a pickup truck in Purok Violetas, Barangay Balingasag, Bago City, Negros Occidental on Wednesday morning, Nov. 13.

Police identified the victim as Alex Ortega, 60, and his wife Cecilia, 65.

Investigation said the victims’ motorcycle was crossing the highway when it collided with the vehicle driven by a 38-year-old resident of Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.

The couple slammed into the pavement and were taken to a hospital where they were declared dead due to serious injuries.
