For the second time, the local government of Pasig was once again recognized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) with its Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Award for passing DILG's assessment in all of the 10 governance areas, or the All-In Assessment Approach.
According to the SGLG, Pasig City is one of 714 local governments nationwide that will be officially recognized in the upcoming SGLG National Validation. The city was also an SGLG awardee in 2023.
“Your commitment to excellence in public service and dedication to the principles of good governance have set a remarkable standard for local leadership. Your unwavering dedication to serving the people is an inspiration to us all,” the SGLG said.
To receive the said award, the LGU must pass the DILG's All In Assessment Approach: Financial Administration and Sustainability; Disaster Preparedness; Social Protection and Sensitivity; Health Compliance and Responsiveness; Sustainable Education; Business Friendliness and Competitiveness; Safety, Peace, and Order; Environmental Management; Tourism, Heritage Development, Culture, and Arts; and Youth Development.
The details of the upcoming national awarding will be posted on the SGLG’s official Facebook page.
Enacted through Republic Act No. 11292 or "The Seal of Good Local Governance Act of 2019," SGLG is an institutionalized award, incentive, honor and recognition-based program that encourages LGUs’ commitment to continuously progress and improve their performance in various governance areas.
