3 nabbed for illegal gambling, shabu in Taguig


Three people, including a minor, were arrested by the police for illegal gambling and shabu in Taguig on Nov. 12. 

Police officers from the Taguig Police Substation 4 were conducting foot patrol at about 7:10 p.m. in Barangay Sta. Ana when they saw the suspects engaging in illegal gambling (tong-its).

Alias Crisanto, 38, was arrested after he was found in possession of shabu in violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002). He was also nabbed for violation of Presidential Decree 1602 (Prescribing Stiffer Penalties on Illegal Gambling). 

Alias Biviana, 57, female, was also arrested for possession of shabu and illegal gambling. 

The police also arrested a 17-year-old boy for illegal gambling.

Officers confiscated bet money amounting to P500 and a set of playing cards.

During a search, the police found four plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing 20 grams valued at P136,000.
