The Parañaque City government has started the distribution of Christmas cash gifts and Noche Buena packages to senior citizens on Tuesday, November 12.
Mayor Eric Olivarez led the distribution at the Seaside covered court in Barangay Tambo and Barangay Don Galo gym.
According to Olivarez, cash gifts worth P1,000 were received by the residents aged 60 to 74 whose birthdays fall from January to June, P1,500 for 75 to 84 years old, and P3,000 for 85 years old and above.
For the elderly whose birthdays are from July to December, their cash gift is now also being prepared by the local government, the mayor added.
The Noche Buena package contains spaghetti noodles and sauce, fruit cocktails, and milk, among others.
Olivarez told senior citizens to check in their respective barangay the schedule of the distribution, which will be up until November 27.
Senior citizens who would not be able to attend the distribution may visit the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) from November 28 to December 4 (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) to get their cash gifts and Noche Buena packages.
