ILOILO CITY – The Department of Trade of Industry (DTI) is celebrating the rich creativity of Western Visayas region in various industries with two major trade events.

The DTI-6 opened its 2024 Panubli-on Trade Fair and hosted the Western Visayas Regional Fiesta Haraya celebration.
For this year’s Panubli-on, DTI Regional Director Rachel N. Nufable emphasized the importance of showcasing the quality craftsmanship and innovation of the small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental provinces as well as the cities of Iloilo and Bacolod.
With the theme “The Power of Local Creativity,” Nufable said it reflects the dedication of the Western Visayas MSME industry in preserving its cultural identity while embracing progress and innovation.
The Fiesta Haraya is part of DTI’s Malikhaing Pinoy Program (MPP) which aims to support regional creative industries through initiatives that promote local talent and encourage community involvement in the arts.
DTI Assistant Director Jo-Dann N. Darong of the Bureau of Competitive Development emphasized the pivotal role of creative industry stakeholders and highlighted how nurturing and supporting the creative sectors can drive both economic growth and cultural development.
