Converge is pulling all the stops to form a potent crew which can challenge the league powerhouses.

Converge has acquired the rights of Heading after sending Keith Zaldivar, Aljun Melecio and a first-round pick in the 51st season draft to Terrafirma – a transaction approved by the league trade committee on Tuesday, Nov. 12.

The first pick of the Gilas special draft back in 2021, Heading is finally making his much-awaited PBA debut after not signing with the Dyip and instead spent his time as an import for Taichung Suns of the T1 League in Taiwan and Nagasaki Velca in the Japan B. League.

With the deal, Heading gets reunited with Converge assistant coach Charles Tiu, consultant Rajko Toroman and team manager Jacob Lao who he worked with during his stint with the Strong Group during its campaign in Dubai International tournament and Jones Cup.

With his addition, Converge has finally formed a potent backcourt along with the vastly improved Alec Stockton and Schonny Winston along with JL Delos Santos and veteran Alex Cabagnot.

Heading is also known to be a knockdown shooter from deep which should bode well in creating the space for star big man Justin Arana to operate inside the paint.

Aside from Heading, Converge is expected to get even stronger once first round pick Justin Baltazar gets the clearance to play likely by mid-December when the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League concludes.
