Stranded passengers were reported at the Manila North Port Passenger Terminal on Monday, November 11, due to the inclement weather brought by Typhoon Nika.

According to the port management, trips to Davao, General Santos, Dumaguete, and Dipolog, Zamboanga have been postponed since Sunday, November 10.

There were passengers who sought refunds for their unused tickets and chose to travel back to their homes.

Authorities also advised travelers heading to Cebu Osamis-Butuan and Cagayan de Oro-Bacolod to wait for their advice before traveling to the port terminal to avoid inconvenience.

It said the passenger ferries will remain in Manila port while they wait the signal from the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) for safe sailing amid the inclement weather.
