A 43-year-old jeepney barker was shot dead by a parking attendant along Ermita, Manila, on Saturday, November 9.

The Manila Police District (MPD) identified the victim as alias "Michael" and the suspect as alias "Andy," both residents of Ermita.

In the initial investigation, the incident took place along Maria Orosa Street in Ermita around 11:45 a.m.

Some witnesses said they saw the victim and suspect arguing and shouting at each other.

The victim then ran when the suspect pulled out a gun.

Police said the suspect fired at least three shots at the victim that led to his immediate death.

The suspect was seen heading to UN Avenue.

The investigators said that the crime stemmed from their fight over a parking space along the same street.

The MPD Homicide Section is still backtracking the closed circuit televisions (CCTV) in the area.
