Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Juanito Victor "Jonvic" Remulla expressed overwhelming support to the "LAB for ALL" caravan or "Libreng Laboratoryo, Konsulta at Gamot Para sa Lahat" program of First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos.

Gracing the event recently in General Santos City, Remulla said that the department’s participation in the program reflects the DILG’s alignment with the administration's vision of inclusive governance.

It also further signifies the DILG’s ongoing efforts to strengthen local governance and enhance LGUs' capacity to provide essential services to the public, Remulla noted.

In his message, Remulla highlighted the government’s goal to invest in human capital, ensuring accessible education for the youth, safe families, and quality public service for all.

Designed to bridge healthcare gaps, the LAB for All campaign addresses the need for affordable and efficient healthcare services in remote and marginalized areas, fostering partnerships between national and local government agencies to ensure sustainable public health solutions.

"This event underscores the government’s commitment to bringing accessible healthcare services to underserved communities across the country, focusing on medical check-ups, diagnostics, and free medication," the DILG stated.

Hundreds of residents from General Santos City and nearby Sarangani Province availed of the said services.

In October, more than 3,000 residents benefited from the series of Lab for ALL events also in General Santos City.

The caravan was made possible by the Department of Health with DILG, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), among others.

The DILG  said it remains hopeful that the initiative will be a model for future collaborations that prioritize public health and welfare, paving the way for a healthier, more resilient nation.
