The Eastern Police District (EPD) identified the suspects as “Khalil,” “Amrex,” and “Jemaira.” They were apprehended following an operation conducted as a part of the EPD's relentless efforts to eradicate illegal drug operations in the Metro East.

Seized during the operation were 20 pieces of plastic sachets containing around 330 grams of shabu.

“Our unified effort and hard work once again paid off. This accomplishment enables us to stop the huge illegal drug operation of these drug syndicates and save innocent lives,” EPD officer-in-charge Police Col. Villamor Tuliao said.

The arrested suspects are currently detained at the Marikina Custodial Facility and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act 2002.

The EPD added that it is conducting an ongoing investigation to trace other possible drug personalities in the area.

Tuliao, on the other hand, urged the community to report any suspicious activity using the Law Enforcement Reporting Information System (LERIS) for immediate police response.

“With this innovative and strategic approach to easily address crime problems, still the community’s peace, order, and safety is our top priority,” Tuliao said.
