The magic of the holiday season comes alive in Makati, where lights, sounds, and traditions merge into a vibrant celebration. Kicking off on November 6, the city transforms as Make It Makati and Ayala Land unveil a dazzling display. Ayala Avenue glows with lights inspired by Filipino heritage, creating a warm, festive atmosphere. This year’s Festival of Lights stretches across the city—from the Central Business District to Circuit Makati—featuring trees adorned with parol patterns and capiz-inspired ornaments.

As night falls, the Gardens host captivating performances. Weekday buskers, including TetViolin, Rose Ko, and The Accordionist, fill the air with holiday tunes. On weekends, grand performances by celebrated Filipino artists take center stage, such as Stellar Diva Bituin Escalante with the Habemus Pappas, the Philippine Suzuki Youth Orchestra, the internationally acclaimed UST Singers, The Luminaries, balladeer Gian Magdangal, soprano Lara Maigue, and Acapellagos. The performances are complemented by dance acts from Ballet Manila and Steps Dance Project.

From classical ensembles to modern acapella, the Gardens transform into a stage where the spirit of Christmas is brought to life through music. If you're looking to memorialize these festive moments, Random Smiles, a caricature artist, will also be on hand to draw Christmas-themed portraits.

Meanwhile, Simbang Gabi services from December 15 to 23 keep traditional faith alive, welcoming families for evening masses under the twinkling lights.

The celebration extends to Paseo De Roxas, where holiday markets add a multicultural touch. Starting November 9, the A Spectrum Holiday market offers a diverse selection of local foods, crafts, and festive goods. International partnerships bring unique flavors, like the French Beaujolais event in mid-November, showcasing French wines and delicacies. In December, the city hosts the French Christmas Market, offering traditional treats and handmade gifts.
