A total of 820 senior citizens from Bulacan are set to participate in the Seniors' Walk 2024 on Thursday, November 7, as part of the Elderly Filipino Week celebration.
The event will begin at 8 a.m., starting from the Capitol Mini Forest Park and ending at the Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in the Malolos City compound.
The walk aims to promote community health and wellness with the theme “Healthy Brain, Healthy Life!”
The Bulacan Provincial Government collaborated with the Australian-Filipino Community Services Commission (AFCS) to organize and facilitate this initiative.
The event will include health screenings, wellness lectures, and fun games.
"We are thrilled to be hosting the Healthy Brain, Healthy Life! Senior’s Walk 2024 in Bulacan this year. Their wisdom, experience, and guidance are invaluable to our community, and it is only fitting that we dedicate this time to show our gratitude and appreciation for all that they have done for us," Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando said.
Vice Governor Alexis Castro, Secretary Dante Francis Ang II, Commission on Filipinos Overseas Chairman Frencel Tingga, and Rev. Franklin Mariano will also grace the event .
