Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez showcased the numerous awards and recognitions attained by the city government from the Department of Finance-Bureau of Local Government Finance (DOF-BLGF), the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
The presentation of these accolades took place during the weekly flag-raising ceremony at the Parañaque City Hall quadrangle on Monday, November 4.
Mayor Olivarez extended his congratulations to the department heads for their contributions, which have significantly advanced the city’s progress.
He highlighted that the city received several awards from DOF-BLGF, including the distinction of being among the Top 6 cities for Locally Sourced Revenue for fiscal years 2022 and 2023; recognition as one of the Top 6 cities for Local Source Revenue relative to Total Current Operating Income for FY 2022; acknowledgment as the Top 7 city for Year-on-Year Growth in Local Source Income for FY 2023 among highly urbanized cities; and being ranked in the Top 3 for Year-on-Year Growth in Locally Sourced Income for FY 2022.
Additionally, Olivarez noted that the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) received the Seal of eBOSS Compliance from ARTA.
Furthermore, the city government garnered several awards from the DILG, including recognition as one of the Top 3 best-performing cities in the Regional Fisheries Compliance Audit; second place in the 2023 Manila Bay Clean-Up, Rehabilitation, and Preservation Program (MBCRPP) Local Government Units Regional Compliance Assessment; high functionality in the Anti-Drug Abuse Council Performance Audit; high performance in the Peace and Order Council Performance Audit; ideal status in the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) Functionality Audit; high functionality in the Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Children (LCAT-VAWC) Functionality Audit; and compliance recognition in the 2023 Manila Bay Clean-Up, Rehabilitation, and Preservation Program (MBCRPP) Local Government Units Regional Compliance Assessment.
