After announcing his plans to run for councilor in Tarlac last month, "It's Showtime" host Ion Perez has officially withdrawn his candidacy from the 2025 midterm elections.

Ion announced the news on his TikTok account on Monday, Nov. 4, apologizing to his supporters for withdrawing from the elections.

(To my people in Concepcion, thank you very much for the trust and support you have given me. I want to inform you that I will no longer run for or continue as the councilor of Concepcion.)
