The local government of Pasig is calling on all out-of-school youth (OSY) aged 15 to 30 who are interested in applying for the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES), which will reopen on Monday, November 11.
It said that the city’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO) will open 700 slots, with the first 300 qualified applicants from District 1 and the first 400 qualified applicants from District 2.
The online application form links will be posted on the city's official Facebook page, Pasig City Public Information Office on Monday and will be available starting at 1 p.m.
To ensure a smooth and efficient application process, it said that two separate form links for the applicants from Districts 1 and 2 will be posted.
“Kaya kung interesadong mag-apply sa SPES OSY, ihanda na ang inyong requirements at tingnan ng maigi ang online application form link na inyong sasagutan (If you’re interested in applying for SPES OSY, get your requirements ready and carefully check which online application form link you need to fill out),” it reminded.
The local government clarified that applicants who register online will still go through screening and evaluation. It added that it will be on a “first come, first served” basis.
For qualifications, they must be residents of Pasig City, out-of-school (not enrolled and not studying within the implementation period), and have a passing general average or general weighted average from the last school attended (75 for high school and 3.0 for college).
Applicants must also have combined net income after tax from their parents, including their own (if applicable), that does not exceed the poverty threshold of P197,868 in annual gross income.
For requirements and the process of the application, they can also check on the city's Facebook page.
The implementation period will be from November 18 to December 13, with 20 days of engagement every Monday to Friday (except for holidays) from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. or 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
