Muntinlupa barangays spend Undas without water supply

Households in barangays in Muntinlupa are spending All Saints’ Day without water supply as Maynilad shut down two water treatment plants for repair and maintenance.

Maynilad shut down its Putatan and Poblacion Water Treatment Plants in Muntinlupa City starting Nov. 1 that will last until noon of Nov. 2.

It said the repair and maintenance of the water treatment plants “are necessary to ensure the continued reliability of our water services.”

Affected by the water service interruption are customers in parts of Muntinlupa, Bacoor, Imus, Parañaque, Pasay, and Las Piñas.

In Muntinlupa, the affected are parts of Barangays Ayala Alabang, Sucat, Alabang, Bayanan, Poblacion, Putatan, Tunasan, Cupang and Buli.

Because of the water service interruption, the Muntinlupa City government deployed water delivery tankers in barangays to provide free water. Maynilad has stationary water tanks in certain areas.
