P111-M worth of shabu seized at NAIA

Government anti-narcotics agents confiscated more than P111 million worth of shabu during an interdiction operation at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) complex.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said the operation was conducted t around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8 in one of the airport warehouse area.

The parcel was declared as "hand-made cultural craft paintings" shipped by David Ibarra Uriostegui of Mexico City, Gustavo A Madero, Mexico and consigned to Marcelino De Los Reyes Jr of  Brgy, 3023 Gaya-gaya, San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.

PDEA said there was no arrest made during the operation.

The drug evidence, seized by the PDEA together with the  NAIA-Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (IADITG) was turned over to the PDEA Laboratory Service. (Chito A. Chavez)
