Netizens react to Willie Revillame eyeing Senate seat

Netizens are divided relating TV host- comedian Willie Revillame finally filing his certificate of candidacy (COC) aiming to secure a seat at the Senate.

Willie submitted his COC on Tuesday, October 8, marking the first time he is taking a stab at politics.

He made clear he is not doing so for personal gain but simply to help the poor.

Some aren't convinced, making their thoughts known about it via social media.

"Tumulong? Narinig ko na yan ah!"

"I don't think one needs to be a senator to help the poor..."

"Jusko Lord, help the Philippines!"

"Bigyan ng jacket yan!"

"Maraming ways para makatulong idol."

"Parang 'That's Entertainment' na ang parating na eleksyon. Kulang na lang si Kuya Germs!"

Then again, there are those who believes he is doing the right thing.

"Willie is known to help those in need. Maybe he'd do well in the Senate. Let's give him a chance."

"Iboboto kita Kuya Wil!"

"It's time we give others a chance. Willie is deserving."

"It's his right to run."

The elections will be held May 12, 2025.
