There are two competing candidates for mayor and three vying for vice mayor in Muntinlupa for the May 12, 2025 national and local elections (NLE).
The filing of certificates of candidacy (COC) ended on Oct. 8 as set by the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
For the local election in Muntinlupa, voters will be choosing a mayor, vice mayor and eight councilors in each of the two districts.
There are nine barangays in Muntinlupa grouped into two councilor districts.
For mayor, incumbent Ruffy Biazon of One Muntinlupa party is running against independent candidate Fernando Catacutan.
There are three candidates for vice mayor of Muntinlupa. They are incumbent Artemio Simundac of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), Allen Fresnedi Ampaya of One Muntinlupa, and independent candidate and former councilor Stephanie Teves-Wong.
Ampaya is the barangay captain of Poblacion and is also the president of the Association of Barangay Captains (ABC) in Muntinlupa.
