Tiangco wishes Cardinal David 'excellent health, continued success'

Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas campaign manager, Navotas City lone district Rep. Toby Tiangco joined the chorus of well-wishers of Bishop Pablo Virgilio David over his appointment as Cardinal.

"My heartfelt congratulations to the Most Rev. Pablo Virgilio David, Roman Catholic Bishop of Kalookan and CBCP (Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines) president, on his appointment as Cardinal," Tangco said in a statement Monday night, Oct. 7.

"Having served as a priest for 41 years and a bishop for 18, Cardinal David has consistently dedicated his life to building communities rooted in faith and service," said the congressman from northern Manila.

Tiangco says he wishes David "continued success in all his endeavors".

"I pray that God blesses him with excellent health and that he continues to foster solidarity among the members of the Roman Catholic Church," he said.

Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas refers to the President Marcos-led administration coalition.
