Maranan orders deployment of more cops in Bulacan, 2 other provinces in Central Luzon

Police Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan, director of the Police Regional Office 3, has ordered the deployment of more policemen in three provinces of Central Luzon ahead of the midterm elections next year.

Maranan said the deployment of more cops in Bulacan, Pampanga, and Nueva Ecija is aimed at enhancing security and strengthening police presence, especially that the candidates for the local posts have already filed their certificate of candidacy.

He said a total of 350 police officers will be deployed— 150 of them will be assigned to Bulacan, 100 in Nueva Ecija and another 10o policemen in Pampanga.

“This strategic move includes providing essential logistical support to ensure mobility and effective conduct of 24/7 checkpoint operations in the whole region,” said Maranan.

The deployment of more cops in Bulacan came after the killing of Bulacan Association of Barangay Captain president Ramil Capistrano and his driver in an ambush in Malolos City.

Maranan has already created a special investigation task group to expedite the solution of the case.

Maranan said the intensified police security in Central Luzon is in compliance with the directive of national police chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil to ensure the peaceful conduct of campaign and elections.

“These proactive measures aim to boost law enforcement capabilities, maintain peace and order, and ensure a safe environment for residents and candidates during the upcoming electoral process,” said Maranan.
