“Ang rason nga mabalik ako gudto indi mapahug ang mga tawo (I’m going back so that the people will not be threatened anymore),” said Del Rosario who is running against Mayor Ronnie Dadivas.

Del Rosario slammed the Dadivas administration for  various policies that negatively impacted residents.

He said the Dadivas administration has implemented a very high tax rate affecting small businesses.

Del Rosario lamented the plight of small-scale fishermen whose boats are impounded for minor violations.

If he wins, Del Rosario assured that the doors of the mayor’s office will be open to all and that his governance  will listen to people’s needs.

Del Rosario bolted the Liberal Party founded by Roxas City’s most illustrious son, former President Manuel Roxas.

He left LP where he was a member for more than 40 years and joined the administration Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP).

Del Rosario, a former Capiz first district congressman, was appointed PFP chairperson for Capiz.
