The local government of Pasay City organized a career guidance and labor standards seminar during the barangay job fair held on Friday, October 4, at the covered court of Barangay 66.
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano emphasized that the career guidance session was designed to support individuals in making well-informed decisions regarding their educational and career paths.
Rubiano noted that the labor standards seminar aimed to educate attendees about the legally mandated benefits that employers are required to provide to their employees.
She mentioned that representatives from the Department of Labor and Employment Makati-Pasay Field Office were invited to deliver the lecture.
Following the seminar, the mayor observed that job seekers began exploring employment opportunities from the ten participating companies at the job fair, which collectively offered 1,000 job openings.
Rubiano listed the companies that participated in the job fair, including Ace Hardware, SM Hypermarket – MOA, The French Baker, LTC Multi Service, Toy Kingdom, Green Pasture, Boskalis, Fruitas Holding Corporation, Topserve, and Alfametro Marketing Inc.
