Banking on their grit and belief that it has what it takes to once again claim the scalp of the mighty SMB, Converge unloaded a stellar second half show that created the much-needed separation and eventually forced the series to a winner-take-all Game 4 on Sunday, Oct. 6.

The FiberXers took advantage of the seemingly tired legs of the Beermen who were playing for its third game in five days.

Schonny Winston spearheaded the fast-paced attack of Converge, dropping 16 of his 26 points in the third frame where his team took an 88-79 lead after trailing by four, 51-55, at the break.

Winston actually had an impressive all-around performance, adding six rebounds, five assists, a steal and a block to his name while Justin Arana continued to impress with 25 points, eight rebounds and four assists all while holding his ground against June Mar Fajardo on the defensive end.

Import Jalen Jones had 22 points and seven rebounds while Game 3 hero Alec Stockton chipped in 16 points, eight assists and five rebounds.

Converge, despite taking a double-digit spread early in the final frame, still had to fend off a rally from SMB which cut the deficit down to just four, 89-85. The FiberXers unloaded 12-2 spurt that proved to be the dagger against the Beermen.

EJ Anosike had 15 points and 11 rebounds which all went down the drain along with 17-point, 20-rebound effort of June Mar Fajardo. Marcio Lassiter added 15, Jericho Cruz with and CJ Perez with 10 but the Beermen had some stretches in the final frame where they couldn't buy a single point, allowing Converge to pull away for good.
