AC Health's pharma arm kicks off expansion

The AC Health Group’s I.E. Medica, a pharmaceutical importer and distribution company, has kicked off its expansion plans with the construction of a new warehouse in the Cavite Technopark.

In a statement, Ayala Corporation said the groundbreaking for the new warehouse is a significant step toward expanding I.E. Medica’s operational capabilities.

Together with the new warehouse being built, the screening for a Level 1 Authorized Economic Operator Certification is also in place. The facility will play a key role in supporting the company's long-term vision of increasing efficiency and enhancing its supply chain solutions.

The new warehouse will serve as a cornerstone in streamlining distribution, accommodating the growing demand for the products, and preparing for future business opportunities.

I.E. Medica Chief Operating Officer Ma. Victoria Sugapong "This groundbreaking is more than just a symbol of expansion; it represents our commitment to operational excellence and the delivery of end-to-end supply chain solutions that ensure quality, efficiency, and growth."

The project reflects the company's dedication to providing high-quality healthcare products, underscored by its robust end-to-end supply chain solutions.

"As we look into the future, this project plays a pivotal role in achieving our long-term vision of becoming the country’s recognized supplier of quality and affordable medicines," Sugapong added.

Since 2019, Ayala Healthcare Holdings Inc (AC Health) has invested in I.E. Medica as a part of its efforts to expand its pharma portfolio and elevate the healthcare landscape in the Philippines.

This partnership has enabled both companies to better serve Filipinos by improving access to quality healthcare. The new warehouse marks another milestone in this ongoing partnership, aligning with the shared goal of enhancing healthcare delivery.

AC Health President and CEO Paolo Borromeo said “This commitment to operational excellence isn’t just about scaling up; it’s about doing things better. It’s about ensuring that as we continue to expand, we remain agile and responsive to the healthcare needs of Filipinos, especially as we grow our portfolio.”

With construction underway, the warehouse is expected to be fully operational by 2026. Once completed, it will support an expanded inventory, streamline the process from receiving to quality assurance, and ensure faster and more efficient dispatch.

Growing its portfolio with over 500 Certificate of Product Registration (CPRs) in various therapeutic areas, I.E. Medica has been dedicated to providing innovative, affordable, and high-quality healthcare solutions to Filipinos.
