The Parañaque city government was awarded by the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) with the Seal of Electronic Business One Stop Shop (eBOSS) Compliance during its Annual Ease of Doing Business Convention commendation for its continuing efforts to implement innovative reforms mandated by the ease of doing business (EODB) law.
"We thank the ARTA for recognizing the City of Parañaque as we boost our online services with the recently launched Pque-EBOSS or the Parañaque Electronic BPLO Online System and Services to complete the seamless business registration experience from online application, online payment to electronic version of permits and clearances at the convenience of our customers." Mayor Eric Olivarez said.
Olivarez dubbed the Parañaque Electronic BPLO Online System and Services as METRIC: Maximizing Efficiency Through Regulation., Innovation and Collaboration.
He said the event also highlighted several business regulatory practices and experiences presented by different National Capital Region (NCR) cities.
The mayor underscored the significance of Pque-eBOSS in improving the revenue collections and opportunities to sustain key programs on education, health, infrastructure and among others.
The Seal of eBOSS compliance is consistent with the Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2021-01 issued by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and ARTA, in providing quality and efficient public services through streamlined and digitalized procedures.
The said seal is a testament to the commitment of the local government units in adhering to the service standards and regulations to further improve the business environment.
"This complemented our collaboration with the national government agencies and local offices to adopt a strategic approach in the delivery of public services. With this recognition, we are fully committed to sustain our reforms and support the government towards its agenda on digital economy," said Atty. Melanie S. Malaya, head of the city Business Permit and Licensing Office.
Malaya said in May 2023, Parañaque City was awarded with Accelerating Reforms for Improved Service Efficiency (ARISE) award as one of the lead pioneers in the implementation of a fully automated and functional eBOSS with added service features such as: Electronic Inspection (EINSPECT), Electronic Official Receipts (EORs) and Electronic Version of Permits and Clearances (EPERMITS).
