6 arrested for illegal gambling, possession of firearm in Rizal


Six individuals were arrested by the Taytay Municipal Police Station for illegal gambling and possession of a pistol in Taytay, Rizal.

The authorities identified the suspects as “Taroga,” 49, “Glenn,” 59, “Jay-R,” 41, “Guya,” 57, “Ace,” 33, and “Deldel,” 46. They were nabbed on Monday, October 28.
 

According to police, they were conducting an anti-criminality operation in Barangay San Juan at around 4:30 a.m. when they noticed the suspects playing cara y cruz.

During their arrest, police also recovered a 9mm pistol loaded with six bullets in the possession of suspect Taroga.

They are currently detained at the Taytay Custodial Facility and will face charges for violating the Anti-Illegal Gambling Act (PD 1602) and the Firearms Law (RA 10591).
