Baguio solon's wife files candidacy for House


BAGUIO CITY – Soledad “Sol” Go, wife of Rep. Mark Go, filed her candidacy for congresswoman here along with five other candidates for councilor under the Team Maka-Baguio Tayo on Thursday, October 3.

Her slate is composed of reelectionist Betty Lourdes Tabanda, comebacking Joel Alangsab, Elaine Sembrano, mediaman Eduardo “Edong” Carta, and Barangay AZKCO kagawad or councilor Stanford Ang.

If elected, Mrs. Go vowed to continue the fast, competent, compassionate, and clean service of her husband.

She did not disclose what position her husband is running for or if he will vie against Mayor Benjamin Magalong who is scheduled to file his COC on October 8.

Meanwhile, two candidates, independents Robert D. Segundo and Jessie P. Dioayan for Sangguniang Panlalawigan in the first district, have so far filed COCs in the province of Abra.

As of 5 p.m. Thursday, not a single bet from prominent political families in the province have filed any COC. (with a report from Freddie Lazaro)
