The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) will deploy 7,647 personnel throughout Quezon City for the commemoration of All Saints’ Day (November 1) and All Souls’ Day (November 2) to ensure public safety and order.
QCPD Director PCol. Melecio Buslig Jr. has implemented a comprehensive security deployment plan involving Philippine National Police (PNP) officers, barangay tanods, support groups, security guards, and personnel from the Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS).
In the deployment, 486 personnel will monitor major cemeteries, 490 will manage columbaria, and 177 will be stationed at bus terminals and train stations.
An additional 2,609 personnel will be assigned to high-traffic areas, including malls, markets, parks, and places of worship.
Meanwhile, the Traffic and Transport Management Department (TTMD) and Task Force Disiplina will provide patrol vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, ambulances, drones, and surveillance equipment.
Each cemetery and columbarium will have Police Assistance Desks to assist residents and visitors.
Additionally, a drone squadron will monitor crowded areas via aerial surveillance, providing real-time updates to the QCPD command center.
PCol. Buslig encouraged the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with security personnel to ensure a safe observance of Undas 2024.
“We encourage the public to report suspicious activities to the QC Helpline 122,” he said.
He added that regular patrols and checkpoints would be conducted to restrict prohibited items.
