In separate advisories issued on Facebook, DepEd and CHEd clarified that they do not offer scholarships or cash assistance for learners.

DepEd has issued a warning to the public regarding fake cash assistance claims circulating online, falsely purporting to be from the agency.

“DepEd reminds everyone to remain vigilant against misinformation,” the agency stated.

For official announcements and information, DepEd urged the public to refer to its official platforms: Facebook (fb.com/DepartmentOfEducation.PH), X (twitter.com/DepEd_PH), Instagram (instagram.com/depedphilippines), and its website (www.deped.gov.ph).

DepEd also encouraged the public to report any misleading or suspicious information about basic education to [email protected].

CHEd also issued a warning against fake information about scholarships.

CHEd Chairman Popoy De Vera stated that the Commission and UniFAST do not offer scholarships for elementary, high school, or vocational students.

“I remind the public to exercise caution, verify information, and refrain from engaging in transactions with individuals or groups claiming to represent the Commission,” De Vera said.

“Refer only to official websites and verified accounts for any information or announcements related to programs being implemented by CHEd,” he added.
