A search and warrant operation conducted by the Parañaque Police led to the arrest of a 35-year-old man and the recovery of around P374,000 worth of shabu and firearms in Parañaque City on Monday, October 28.

The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspect as “Roberto.” He was arrested following the search warrant issued against him by Judge Leilani Marie Dacanay-Grimares, 1st Vice-Executive Judge of the Parañaque Regional Trial Court, on October 22, for violation of Republic Act 1059, an act providing for a comprehensive law on firearms and ammunition.
During the operation, authorities recovered a.38 caliber revolver with four rounds of ammunition hidden beneath his pillow.
They also confiscated about 55 grams of shabu in his possession.
SPD chief Brig. Gen. Bernard Yang said the suspect was detained at the Paranñaque Police Custodial Facility and was charged for violation of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition) and Section 11, Article 11 of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
