Barangay Granada, which bested six other barangays that showcased exceptional performance, pocketed P1 million in the Sapphire edition of the festival.

Showcasing a dazzling display of creativity and talent, Barangay Granada also bagged all minor awards – the Bacolod Yuhum Choice Award, Best in Theme and Concept, Best in Music, Best in Mask, Headdress, and Costume, and the Connectivity in Motion Award – and won a total of P190,000 cash prize.

Barangay Bata was first runner-up and won P500,000 and Barangay 12 was the second runner-up and bagged P300,000.

The Pillar of Dance Excellence Award was presented to Segundo Jesus “Panoy” Cabalcar Jr. who received P10,000 for his contributions to dance in this city.

Bacolod Rep. Greg Gasataya cited the organizers for their efforts to make the competition successful.

“We would like to thank all the organizers for their sacrifices and for overcoming the challenges to make this year’s MassKara Festival one of the most well-attended concerts and activities in Bacolod’s history, despite the rain,” he said.

The event was graced by Makati City Mayor Abegail Binay and House Deputy Speaker and Las Pinas City Rep. Camille Villar.

The competition concluded with a spectacular drone show and fireworks display at the Paglaum Sports Complex.
